May 15th (Wednesday)    White Peak Wandering.                                        Start & finish at the Winking Man public house on the A53, 5 mls. NE of Leek, 7 mls SW of Buxton. We hope to see you enjoying our lovely countryside again. Come ‘on’,’in’ or ‘whatever’, it’s your choice, but do let me know if you will be joining us and book your meal by 8th May. There is a large car park and toilet facilities available. Start 10.15 to 11.15. There will be no refreshments available at the start, but 6 mls from the start we will visit the Engine Tea Rooms at Hulme End.  

May 16th (Thursday) The Meon Valley Meander.                                  Members and friends are invited to attend a social lunch gathering followed by a ride of about 25 mls on the rural roads of South Hampshire.The starting point for this run and lunch venue is the ‘Brickmakers’ pub, Church Road, Swanmore, SO32 2PA, on the Bishops Waltham to Swanmore Road.  There is the usual range of pub food at reasonable prices (look at their website)   Should you be unable to go on the run, why not just join us for lunch? I will lead the run following lunch. You are welcome on 2, 3 or 4 wheels, everybody welcome. June 13th (Thursday) The Run of “Dark Satanic Mills” tour and pub lunch. Starting at Woodmancote, Blythe Bridge Bank, Kingstone, ST14 8QW.   3.5 mls SW of Uttoxeter and 2.5 mls SE of the A518.                                               Meet at 10.00 – 10.30. Start run at 11.00, Lunch at 1.00 pm. Plenty of parking for cars and trailers. 

The British Motor Museum, Gaydon, CV35 0BJ.    Start 10.00am.                      A chance to see several A.P.M.C. Members and their machines in action, including the intrepid A.P.M.C. Secretary Bob Badland P2305, our debonair and daring vintage bike debutante, making his first appearance on a 1929 Hand Gear Change Ariel 500 (no electric start or disc brakes!) generously loaned by Pat Rowbotham C2341. July 13th and 14th. Chateau Impney Hill Climb, Droitwich.

September 5th (Thursday)  Rugeley Rural Roads Run.  The Clifford Arms,  Great Haywood on the West side of the A51, approx. 3.7mls North of Rugeley. The Clifford Arms is half a mile off the A51. Tel 01889 881 321            We shall be gathering at the Clifford Arms around 10.00 to 10.30am. They will provide tea/coffee on a pay and self-serve basis.                                      The route is 43 mls with one or two short cuts in case of inclement weather. Set off 11.00am, return by 12.30pm, lunch 1.00pm. Please contact me by 18th August if possible, in order that I can arrange seating. Book your meal before setting out on the run. I shall send a copy of the Menu to those who register by email.

Sept. 12th (Thursday)  Salisbury Saunter. Meet at 12.00 for lunch at the ‘Fox and Goose’ on the A354 at Coombe Bissett, Salisbury, SP5 4LE. For those taking part, the 30 mile road run will commence at 2.00pm, through the Chalk Valley and will include a stop for afternoon tea, finishing back at the ‘Fox and Goose’. 

September 13th, 14th, 15th. Goodwood Revival. Goodwood, Sussex.

Sept. 13th/14th/15th. Classic Concours, Rallye and Race Meeting. Angouleme, Charente Region, South West France.

Sept. 18th (Wednesday)    International Canterbury Canter. The start and finish will be at the ‘Granville’ pub, situated 3 mls. South of Canterbury on the B2068. Meet at 10.30am, move off at 11.30am after ordering a meal, for the 30 mile run. Return at 1.00pm for lunch. Plenty of room for car and trailer parking. Please contact me before 12th September so that I can confirm seating with the pub.

October 3rd (Thursday).  North Leicester Lanes Run.  This is a run of about 40 mls around Leicestershire lanes followed by a lunch gathering. Start and finish at the ‘Appleby Inn Hotel’ DE12 7AP on the A44, half a mile South of Junction 11 of the M42. Please arrive in time for the 11.30 ride. Tea and coffee will be available in the restaurant from 11.00 (kindly opened early for us). Place orders for lunch before the run with an estimated return at 13.00 and eating at 13.30. PLEASE CONTACT ME TO BOOK IN before Monday 23rd September so that I can reserve seating for our party as a group. The Hotel opens at 11.00am and there is a large car park. If you are bringing a bike on a trailer, please park well away from the side entrance using the rear car park.

13th October (Sunday) Figeac Retro Club are organising the ’21st Autumn Tour’ of 120 kms. for pre-1970 bikes and cars. Start 9.00. Breakfast available at the start from 7.30. There will be two rest stops en route and a lunch stop. There will be a course opening motor cycle and in case of breakdowns, a service vehicle with motor cycle trailer will follow at the rear. A route map will be issued to all entrants and the course marking will be by signs painted onto the road surface with fluorescent paint. Looks interesting, a friendly club, scenic route, good roads, excellent food, wine and beer, plus locals who are very motor cycle friendly and of course the sunshine! The painting of route marking onto the road wouldn’t go down too well in the UK…….
